As part of our Victorian Field Service Team you will be providing technical support to customers Automated systems. Perform VIC Field Service Team day to day functions including reporting, parts organization & basic administrative functions .Completion of and support in all facets of preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance across FS VIC client sites. Coverage of on-call roster as required.
This role reports to the Service Manager – Southern Region.

  • Your role:
    • Ensure a high rate of productivity and utilisation is delivered in day-to-day FS VIC tasks
    • Liaise with customer representatives to organise servicing requirements
    • Manage and close out tickets in Salesforce ITS system, ensuring process aligned with SSI SCHAEFER standards
    • Assist SSI SCHAEFER Procurement department with identification of required spares as required
    • Provide expert technical product support during breakdowns, shutdowns and all preventative and corrective maintenance activities
    • Log all work completed in CMMS app/portal in timely manner. Update Salesforce case tickets with relevant and thorough information and details
    • Ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out to meet OEM standards and specifications.
    • Liaise with SSI SCHAEFER international helpdesk to provide remote support to resolve technical issues
    • Liaise with FS VIC Team Leader to resolve design issues, and prepare product improvement recommendations
    • Proactively work with the customers operations teams to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment
    • Assist with project works and installations as required
    • Be available as required under rotating on-call roster to cover callout to VIC based sites
    • Perform routine and scheduled servicing tasks on interstate sites
    • Perform mechanical tasks as required in line with OEM maintenance
    • Work with a high level of autonomy and provide a level of flexibility to assist CSS team to cover labour shortfalls as required
    • Actively promote a safe work culture at all times.
    • Participate in regular team meetings with CSS Management and FS VIC team to identify any inefficiencies, discuss WHSE topics and monitor continuous improvement processes

  • Your skills:
    • Electrical Licence or Mechanical Fitter with Disconnect/Reconnect & strong electrical experience
    • Pneumatics and Hydraulics Post Trade Certificate an advantage.
    • PLC and VSD fault finding / programming experience
    • Experience with Computerised Maintenance software
    • Advanced knowledge of automated warehouse machinery
    • Ability to work under pressure and follow procedures
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
    • Have strong organisation skills be happy working on your own as well as part of a team environment.
    • Advanced level of experience in fault finding/diagnosis on mechatronics
    • Advanced level of experience in barcode scanning applications eg. SOPAS etc. an advantage
    • Advanced customer focus skills
    • Understanding of AS3000 Wiring standards
    • 5 years in the automation industry
