The Resident Maintenance Manager (JCB) is fully responsible for all activities relating to the SSI Maintenance Team onsite and be the main point of contact for the client during the incident escalation process ensuring full and accurate handover of information.

• Direct line management of the team including coordinating and assigning work to maintain system availability, completing staff appraisals, adherence to HR policies, and daily on-site support. 
• Complete management of KPI’s and SLA’s and also generate and maintain reports detailing engineering data from daily shifts, as and when required 
• Effectively communicate with the customer as the first point of contact by taking full responsibility for the escalation management between SSI and our client throughout shift Attending escalation meetings and conference calls and effectively communicate with the client in high-impact and pressurised scenarios by maintaining customer relationships. 
• Undertake a shift handover according to the agreed procedures and daily checks of operational performance 
• Complete management of the ‘open points list’ relating to site 
• Drive Continuous Improvement (Hardware/ IT changes carried out as per change requests) 
• Analyse client system daily operational reports to track and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 
• Effective root cause analysis in order to recommend changes 
• Prioritise incident work and changes 
• Shift work for shift coverage. 
• Responsibility for all reactive, and planned maintenance activities including operational housekeeping and administration duties for your team 

• ONC/HNC in IT, Software, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent combination 
of education and experience in similar work. 
• Background in working within busy Engineering / Technical business. (Ideally Static 
Storage, Material Handling Equipment, Automation, Engineering or Manufacturing 
industry), an understanding of PLC’s is also required 
• A working knowledge of WCS/WMS is advantageous 
• SAP knowledge is desirable 
• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical reports. 
• To be able to respond to detailed inquiries or complaints from internal and external 
customers verbally and in written form. 
• General computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Exchange 
• Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills 
• Excellent team working skills 
• Results orientation skills 
• Highly Credible / High impact – Able to demonstrate their ability to work on their own initiative and without supervision in some cases.  

Full time role: 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours: Mon - Thu 8.30-16.45 and Fri 8.30-15.30
