Resident Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a Resident Maintenance Engineer based in Bromley by Bow, to join our team of highly skill engineers that deliver a first-class service to support our household name in delivering its products.

You will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the fast-flowing material handling equipment. You will deliver key service elements such as planned preventative maintenance, fault rectification and eradication.

You will be expected to be deal with problems, think quickly on your feet to resolve any issues and work proactively to ensure that key performance indicators are adhered to.

As a level one Engineer, you will be an expert in your field, you will have an excellent knowledge of PLC's, enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills with piers and be decisive in your actions.

- Reactive and preventative maintenance

- Ensuring the customer receives the agreed level of support

- Proactively promote and comply with all health and safety regulations

To be successful with your application for a Resident Maintenance Engineer, you will have a recognised qualification within the Electrical field and previous experience within a similar role. You will have a passion for engineering, be self-driven and highly motivated.


  • ONC/HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical is essential.

  • A recognised apprenticeship in an appropriate electrical/mechanical engineering discipline is essential.

  • Recognised cross training from Mechanical to Electrical Engineering of vice versa.

  • PLC knowledge and experience is advantageous.

  • Health and Safety Qualifications desirable.

  • Experience of automated materials handling equipment.

  • Ability to work alone.

  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills desirable.

This role is shift based compromising of nights and weekends.
