Shift Maintenance Technician - Level 2

We are currently seeking Shift Engineers for one of our residence maintenance sites in Milton Keynes.

You will be responsible delivering the day to day maintenance of a fast-flowing material handling equipment as well as delivering key service elements including planned preventative maintenance, fault rectification and eradication.

  • To be part of the Resident maintenance team, to complete preventive and corrective maintenance.

  • Ensuring all activities undertaken are done so in a safe considered manner, inline with legislation and site risk assessments.

  • Maintain a healthy relationship with all shift team members, working collaboratively to maintain best practise.

  • Ensuring that all spares that are used, are processed accurately and timely.

  • Always Represent SSI-Schaefer in a professional manner.

  • Maintain a professional relationship with customer colleagues.

  • To always work to company risk assessments and method statements.

  • All Engineering activities are completed effectively and efficiently, working to the SSI systems and processes as specified in the OEM

  • Any other related duties as required in line.with business/customer needs.

  • We have Systems and Procedures in place that cover how as a business, we deal with the management of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety.

  • Each job holder is expected to acquaint themselves with those procedures, and ensure they fully comply and adhere with the requirements, as they apply to their job role.

  • Employees have responsibilities for their safety whilst at work and to co-operate with the Company on all health & safety requirements.

  • Employees have responsibility for information security for all information associated with SSI Schaefer during employment and where appropriate in respect of Confidentiality, which may extend beyond the employment period.

  • Experience with Conveyors, Cranes, sortation and Hanging garment is desirable, Knowledge of automation or Engineering maintenance functions is essential.

  • Computer skills – Basic MS Excel, MS Word,

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills

  • Apprentice trained desirable

  • NVQ L2 or greater in an Engineering discipline, 5 years work experience in a related role.

Shift work – 2 x 12 hour days 2 x 12 hour nights 6 days off
