The scalable single-plalevel shuttle SSI Flexi was a winner in the Material Flow

SSI SCHAEFER awarded the Best of Industry Award 2019

This marks the fourth time that excellent innovations from this industry have been awarded the Best of Industry Award. The award in the category “Material Flow” was presented to SSI SCHAEFER for the innovative SSI Flexi Shuttle during an evening gala.

After having received the German Design Award in early 2019, SSI SCHAEFER, the intralogistics specialist, was honored for the acknowledgment. A peer review from high-ranking experts and readers of the industrial magazine MM MaschinenMarkt cast their votes over several weeks regarding the most outstanding products in the industry. Only companies with products that had already received a prestigious award in 2019 were eligible.

The winners of the eleven categories in total were announced at a gala in Würzburg on June 27th.

According to industry peers, those who prevailed against stiff competition have successfully demonstrated that they are the best of the best. With its intelligent functional variety allowing storage for a wide range of transport units and dimensions up to 50 kg, the SSI Flexi has proven to be quite impressive - even under frigid conditions. “The modular design allows custom system concepts within various industries, offering excellent space utilization and the utmost performance, while at the same time a high level of flexibility and scalability,” said Andreas Koch, Head of Product Management Storage Systems at SSI SCHAEFER. One especially unique feature is the racking concept with its dynamically adaptable storage location sizes, which allows variable shelf occupancy with maximum storage density.”
