As a 9-year-old, Felix Finkbeiner outlined his vision in a school project: "Let's plant a million trees in every country of the world!" Together with other children he founded Plant-for-the-Planet. Since then, children, teenagers and adults have planted more than 13 billion trees. More than 3 million of them on the foundation's planting area on the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico. When Felix Finkbeiner was 13 years old, he spoke to the UN and called for the plantation of 1,000 billion trees – to bind 25% of the man-made CO² emissions. He thus encourages children and adults to shape their own future.
