As an RM IT Technician, you will provide technical support for automated material handling software systems and equipment in warehouses and distribution centres using an array of technical tools to perform complex troubleshooting and problem solving.

• Identifies and resolves issues with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Material Flow Systems (MFS).
• Identifies issues that are mechanical or logical in nature and escalates to the appropriate team for resolution.
• Trains internal and external customers to increase system knowledge, resolve issues and prevent issues from recurring.
• Analyses system daily operation reports to track and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
• Provide periodic input into the conference calls initiated by the Customer’s IT Service Desk during major incidents.
• Submission of Request for Change documents as required by the Customer’s Change Management Process.
• Co-ordination of Change Requests.
• Monitoring of system performance after the deployment of changes.
• Assist with the testing of changes.
• Work within H&S guidelines and processes.
• Participates in customer and internal meetings.
• Effectively communicate with the Customer’s team and the Contractor’s RM team.
• We have Systems and Procedures in place that cover how as a business, we deal with the management of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety.

• BSc or HND/HNC in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work.
• Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, My SQL, SQL Server).
• Language Ability: ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical documents. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to detailed inquiries from internal and external customers verbally and in written form. Ability to develop training materials for system users and technicians.
• Reasoning Ability: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
Full time role: 40 hours per week.
Working Hours: Shift Pattern of 14:00 – 22:00, Monday’s – Thursday, 09:00 – 17:00 Friday.
