About the role:
• Lead and manage the sales process for complex automation projects
• Contribute to the overall sales team revenue target(s)
• Achieve personal revenue target(s)

• The successful candidate will be working with leading Online, Retail, Food and Manufacturing companies in the UK from a supply-chain perspective
• Make initial contact with potential customers to verify the quality of any lead
• Lead customer meetings and workshops
• Responsible for ongoing communication with customers to build strong relationships
• Lead complex projects
• Lead the sales element in creating high quality proposals & presentations
• Lead internal concept meetings with other departments
• Lead investigating the commercial benefit of any automation solution to the customer and how different systems will offer varying payback
• Understand how various departments within SSI including applications, IT, data, simulation, project management and CSS
• Assist junior members when appropriate.
• Conduct lessons learned meetings after the completion of a project, regardless of the result
• Apply the Systems and Procedures in place that cover how as a business, we deal with the management of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety.
• Each job holder is expected to acquaint themselves with those procedures, and ensure they fully comply and adhere with the requirements, as they apply to their job role.
• Designs and concepts are overviewed, sense-checked, understood and effectively under-written.

Desired Qualifications:

• Degree at 2:1 level or higher preferred.
• Some studies at GCSE or higher in business or similar preferred
• Background in warehouse automation, warehouse equipment or similar.
• Ability to speak German or work with Europeans.
• Good Influencing skills
• Good Stakeholder Management skills
• Computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
• Commercially minded
• Interest in analytical thinking
• Negotiating and Conflict Management skills

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.
Full time role: 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours: 8.30am to 4.45pm Monday and Thursday and 8.30am to 3.30pm Friday
Working Location: Home based
Holiday: 25 days p.a plus bank holidays
