New central distribution center for Coop in Eskilstuna, Sweden

The Swedish grocery chain Coop has built a central distribution center in Eskilstuna, Sweden, in order to sustainably and efficiently supply their 800 branches with fresh goods. SSI SCHAEFER equipped the new warehouse with powerful intralogistics and automated 95% of the picking processes. With an area of 77,000 square meters, the new logistics center is one of the largest warehouse locations in the world. The highly automated distribution center replaces two goods terminals where work was previously predominantly carried out manually.
