Automated outbound delivery for over 800 Coop branches

Goods-out is the final step in the automated material flow – this is where all processes are optimally interlinked. Mixed pallets, which were previously assembled according to branch requirements, are temporarily stored, sequenced and prepared for loading in the correct order.

Intermediate buffer for maximum readiness for delivery

In the combined shipping buffer for goods from the ambient and chilled temperature areas, the picked mixed pallets are stored until they are shipped. The high bay warehouse in the shipping area is operated by 18 SSI Exyz storage-retrieval machines which enable precise and energy-efficient storage and retrieval.

Efficient loading with minimal effort

The pallets retrieved from the shipping buffer are automatically transferred to gravity roller conveyors so that they can be loaded for transportation by truck or train with minimal energy consumption. Thanks to tour-specific sequencing in advance, manual sorting processes are no longer necessary. In addition, the connection to the rail network enables environmentally-friendly outbound delivery by train – an important contribution to CO₂ reduction in the logistics chain.
