What is automated picking vs. manual picking in the warehouse?

An Automated picking involves picking goods / products that are carried out automatically by machines that are controlled using the PLC software and then picked up by the operator.
This process is also known as the "goods to man" principle. While manual picking or also known as “man to goods” is the process of picking the goods / products in which the operator searches for the location and retrieve the goods / products physically. Imagine automated picking like ordering food from ala-carte menu and your order is served on the table while manual picking is akin to choose your food from a buffet feast.
