We are looking for an experienced National Construction Manager to lead site installations across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring seamless execution, safety, and quality outcomes for our customers.
About the Role
As National Construction Manager, you will oversee multiple projects, supervise site managers, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success. Reporting to the Head of Project Management Unit – APAC & MEA, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality installations while driving continuous improvement and best practices.

Key responsibilities
Lead and support construction site and safety managers in Australia and New Zealand.
Ensure safety-first culture at all site installations.
Oversee installations and ensure compliance with global SSI SCHAEFER methodologies and standards.
Problem-solve and provide guidance for on site challenges, including material delays and site access issues.
Contribute to project evaluations, risk mitigation, and installation timelines.
Build capability within the site management team, ensuring consistency across installations and alignment to global SSI SCHAEFER standards.
Provide regular updates to Project Managers and Head of Project Management Unit – APAC & MEA.
Manage resource and capacity planning.
Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and external suppliers to drive project success.
What you’ll bring
Trade qualification in construction, electrical, or mechanical fields.
Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
5–10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a global, matrix organisation.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Solid grounding in OHS&E principles.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
