SAP for Warehouses – Proven Solutions for Your Logistics Systems

SAP Recognized Expertise

SAP logistics solutions for perfect processes

Looking for SAP logistics solutions for warehouse management? With SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), you can now implement your logistics projects unerringly. Innovative software solutions with their own standards round off the extensive SSI SCHAEFER product portfolio, based on SAP technology. Focusing on the SAP logistics market, the consulting and realisation expertise and close technical integration of automated warehouse technology pave the way for the digitalization of integrated supply chain solutions.

A comprehensive warehouse management with SAP

Depending on the logistics concept, we offer various solutions to cover your specific requirements and make your project successful. With the power to transform that SSI SCHAEFER group member SWAN GmbH offers, SAP experts are developing customised solutions for every level of automation. Upon your request, we will take on the entire implementation, starting with a cross-industry consulting expertise: from the initial system configuration and end-to-end customising to developing individual extensions and establishing project-based system interfaces. The closely integrated system emulation during project implementation is a particular highlight which is mapping the behavior of the control system, thereby enabling parameter and process tests and significantly shorter commissioning times. Subsequently, it can be used for tests as well. The Customer Lifecycle Service Team views itself as a partner for the benefit of the customer and provides a reliable operation of the system and SAP processes. This increases the efficiency of all intralogistics processes and reduces costs in the long run.

The SAP Portfolio

The SAP solutions control the supply chain, from the supplier to the warehouse and end customer. By using SAP EWM standard modules for warehouse management and material flow control, extensive logistics requirements can be covered. In order to avoid delivery or transport bottlenecks, EWM Yard Management (YM) completes the demands of modern supply chain management perfectly, before and after intralogistics processes. Moreover, integrating the additional modules of SAP Yard Logistics (YL), SAP Transportation Management (TM), and SAP Event Management (EM) offers further potential for optimisation. The transformation into the digital future takes place with the SAP cloud solution.

As the core module, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) offers a wide range of options for managing and controlling manual, semi-automated, and fully automated logistics systems. The aim here is to make optimal use of the various existing software functionalities and represent customer requirements individually.

With SAP EWM Material Flow System (MFS) as part of the EWM functional portfolio, SAP is directly connected to the automated warehouse control and manages processes from manual to complex intralogistics systems. The process of controlling modern high bay warehouses, miniloads, shuttle systems, robotics, and automated guided vehicles, but also picking systems, can be carried out quite easily with SAP EWM MFS. Customised user dialogs and analysis data are displayed in SAP EWM via user-friendly UI5/FIORI interfaces.

The Transportation Management (TM) SAP module stands for planning and executing the transport of all goods flows outside of the warehouse. This includes consolidating orders in the best possible way and creating precise forecasted demands and quantities, regardless of whether the goods are small packages, or a large-scale system is to be shipped. SAP TM will also find the best shipping route and integrate freight forwarders directly via the interfaces.
