Keeping manual transport on track

The route network defined within the software also simplifies the allocation of transport tasks to manually-operated transport devices, such as forklifts, pallet trucks or trolleys. The system knows the devices’ dimensions, weights, and approach heights, and perfectly supports the warehouse staff as they complete their tasks.

Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are the future of transportation, and they perfectly complement existing bin and pallet conveying systems. Their efficiency is driven by the software, including the SSI Schaefer integrated solution approach. Transparent communication is ensured by the latest interface technologies, meaning that each individual vehicle and the entire fleet can make their way directly to their destinations in the warehouse, without any unnecessary diversions and around the clock if required.
