Fast and precise order processing is the key to success in logistics. Travel times and synergies play a decisive role here. The RackBot is a shuttle vehicle that combines the flexibility of an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) with the capabilities of a storage-retrieval machine. The crane load handling device attached to the mobile shuttle is able to store and retrieve bins, trays, cartons and plastic bins on conveyor belts, racks, work stations and picking stations. The possibility of transporting several loading units on the mobile robot means that several retrieval or storage operations are possible per tour.

Thanks to the advanced technology, the RackBot navigates completely autonomously even in the narrowest aisles and facilitates picking and storage up to a height of 11.5 meters. In this way, the intelligent handling robots make optimum use of the available space – and significantly increase your storage density as well as your storage and picking performance. The RackBots can be used in temperature ranges from 0°C to 45°C.

  • Extensive possibilities:  The RackBots not only cover vast picking areas in your warehouse, but are also compatible with a wide range of bins. We offer you the handling robot in different versions – perfectly coordinated with the various sizes of plastic bins and cartons up to 30 kg or even 50 kg.

  • Multi-case-handing:  Multitasking is not an issue for the RackBot: With the help of several onboard storage compartments, the storage and picking robot can handle up to 9 cartons or bins at a time, depending on their weight. There are 8 storage trays per RackBot and an additional one on the load handling device. For bins weighing over 50 kg, you benefit from a total capacity of 6 locations.

  • Maximum flexibility: A robot for every bin size: The different RackBot models cover bin sizes from 300 x 300 mm, 400 x 250 mm up to 850 x 650 mm. Thanks to their adjustment range, a single robot can easily handle different load carriers, for example 600 x 400 mm and 400 x 300 mm.

  • Autonomous navigation: The smart logistics robot knows its way around and always finds the fastest route to its destination independently. Its consistently high speed and high placement accuracy ensure a smooth and efficient flow of goods.

  • Seamless networking: The autonomous robot communicates using Wi-Fi and is connected to an intelligent software platform: This means you can always keep an eye on the status of your RackBots.

  • Automatic charging: The RackBot not only handles navigation and picking independently, but you also do not need to worry about charging the vehicle’s batteries. When the battery is low, the mobile robot warns you by voice alarm and automatically drives to the charging station. Built-in protective circuits guarantee the safety of the charging process, which automatically stops when the battery is full.

  • Comprehensive protection: Obstacle detection, collision protection, emergency stop, lift and fall protection: These are just some of the features that ensure you are always on the safe side with the RackBot. Thanks to the innovative safety concept, incidents can even be rectified during operation. Your storage and picking robot is, of course, also CE and NRTL certified.

Yes! The AMRs are a central component of RackBot Systems (link). Depending on the bin and requirement, they are configured differently and combined with other autonomous robots. It is possible to combine the system with the WEASEL Classic or the SALLY AMR to automate goods-in and goods-out operations in the warehouse.
