The rapidly growing contract manufacturer and development partner of the pharmaceutical industry, Losan Pharma, aims to expand its production capacities. A new manufacturing plant is set to commence operations in 2025. At the same time, a new logistics center is being established, for which SSI SCHAEFER has been appointed as the general contractor for intralogistics. The scope of delivery includes an automated pallet high-bay silo, energy-efficient storage and retrieval machines, automated guided vehicles, extensive conveyor technology, and the integration of the new warehouse into the existing SAP EWM.

The long-established mould manufacturer agathon, based in the Ruhr region of Germany, aims to increase the efficiency of its tool warehouse. The company’s relocation to a new site has created space for this fresh start. SSI SCHAEFER is supplying several SSI LOGIMAT® vertical lift modules, which agathon is using to optimize and partially automate order picking. The new storage solution also enables ergonomic handling and maximizes the use of vertical space.

After the inaugural event last year, SSI SCHAEFER once again invited logistics consultants and planners to the “Intralogistics Day” at its technology center in Giebelstadt near Würzburg.

SSI SCHAEFER will improve Scalpers' order picking performance thanks to the implementation of 26 RackBots in the distribution center of the popular Sevillian fashion brand in Guillena. The project, which is being developed in two phases, will equip the warehouse with a total of 100,000 locations for cardboard boxes and two picking stations organized using the Put-Wall system and Pick to Light order preparation, with eight positions in each one, to offer a throughput of 250 boxes per hour, both incoming and outgoing.

In 2023, together with the intralogistics expert SSI SCHAEFER, the distribution center in Morgongåva, Sweden, was optimized, doubling its performance. However, demand in e-commerce continues to increase rapidly, and capacities keep getting tighter. In order to be able to process up to 50,000 more orders a day, a new warehouse is being built in Varberg with the target to reduce the delivery times to the southwest of Sweden. The WAMAS warehouse management system from the intralogistics specialist SSI SCHAEFER will be used to efficiently manage V-Markt's wide range of products in the future. The new WMS solution not only meets current requirements, but also represents a forward-looking investment. The order was placed at the end of 2023, with a planned project start in March 2024 and a planned project acceptance in the first quarter of 2025.

SSI SCHAEFER is presenting new software especially for stand-alone operation of the SSI LOGIMAT Vertical Lift Module. LOGIONE is a simple and intuitive storage location and article management system. With a state-of-the-art warehouse in Hranice, Czech Republic, SSI SCHAEFER has reached a major milestone in its spare parts service. Effective October 15, 2023, Peter Edelmann has been appointed as the new CEO of leading intralogistics company SSI SCHAEFER.
